Now that I am home with baby Samsam, I have all day to think about life, God's love, and of course, foods for you! Let me just add for those of you who think stay at home moms are fat, lazy women who scream at their kids and eat bon-bons all day....you need a wake up call! That woman is teaching and molding the children who will build the future. Give them the honor and respect they deserve and also need. Many of them left thriving and grand careers to jump head into investing their all into new minds! Feeding, disciplining, leading the future into the world. Please make sure you lift up and encourage these beautiful women! God knows and sees the world that you have built. Go to your Living Word of God and read how God sees you. Start with King Lemuel's Mother's Words of a Godly, Good Woman. Proverbs 31
Now back to my blog...
Have you ever heard of a truss? A truss is the building support that holds up a roof structure. My Honey Bear works for a company that builds these support systems. I love these structures because they are built to hold up an amazing amount of weight, design, and materials.
I believe that God calls a woman to be good, loving, and active. But I truly believe that one of God's strongest characteristics of a woman is her strength. Her ability to handle and care for such a magnitude of responsibilities with grace and elegance in nothing short of a miracle! Like a truss she is a supportive asset to a much larger bigger picture.
In the Word God calls wives to be a helpmate too man. But I feel she is so much more than that! Genesis 2:18 Helpmate, helper fit to him to me, sounds like....a helper, a lending hand. But I feel something is lost in translation somewhere. A woman's nature is to teach, love, bring peace, encourage, feed, and bring together her home. In her "building" I know she is there to support her home, but where does God stand on supporting the man?
In the Word, HE tells women just how to do that. But today I want us to focus on the support system you provide the man of your home. Are your words strong and forceful or are they soft words of encouragement and guidance given with grace through the Holy Spirit? Do they softly and simply lift the structure to it's peak performance?
As a woman, as a Godly Woman, our gifts of the Spirit need to support our men, standing firm in Godly principals in our homes and lives. I am so thankful to have a husband who loves me and seeks hard after God just like me. But I'm more thankful for the church body. The men of our church who give him Godly mentorship, support him, help him, and love him with Godly fellowship that also builds our home up to its fullest!

Angel Food Cake
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 1 cup cake flour 1 1/2 cups egg whites (12) 1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 cup granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Move oven rack to lowest position. Heat oven to 375ºF.
2 Mix powdered sugar and flour; set aside. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until foamy. Beat in granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time, on high speed, adding vanilla, almond extract and salt with the last addition of sugar. Continue beating until stiff and glossy meringue forms. Do not underbeat.
3 Sprinkle sugar-flour mixture, 1/4 cup at a time, over meringue, folding in just until sugar-flour mixture disappears. Push batter into un-greased angel food cake pan (tube pan), 10x4 inches. Cut gently through batter with metal spatula.
4 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until cracks feel dry and top springs back when touched lightly. Immediately turn pan upside down onto heatproof funnel or bottle. Let hang about 2 hours or until cake is completely cool. Loosen side of cake with knife or long, metal spatula; remove from pan.
